The Chef.hr team took part at the IKA Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart with notable results in the Community Catering category. They measured forces from a total of 28 countries. This year’s theme was rooted, both literally and figuratively. A seasonal menu for 120 people was presented, consisting of salad, two fingerfoods (one served in a glass, one on a spoon), three different main dishes (meat, fish and vegetarian dishes) and desserts. The big limitation was the strict and rather low set budget and the time of preparation from entering the kitchen to the start of the 5 o’clock service. Such presentations are important to us in order to present our work and the culture we come from, but also to learn from our participants, and especially the feedback received from the evaluation committee is important and appreciated in order to improve and facilitate our daily business and provide better service to our customers.
